Helping your children with their homework needs no much cost. Your help is very meaningful to your children. Some children are reluctant to open their tasks after school. TV, and video games sometimes prevent them from doing homework. Can you help your children with their homework? The answer should be “ yes”. Whatever reasons you should say “ OK” to help your kids.
How can you help your children with their homework?
1. Talk to your children about their lessons at home.
You should spend few minutes to talk about their lessons. Choose the best time. Don’t bother them when they enjoy playing a game. Your questions remind your children if they have accomplished their homework or not. Finishing homework on time teaches your children discipline with the deadline.
2. Call your children’s teachers.
You can call your children’s teachers. Your communication is good relationship to motivate your children. Ask if the teacher gives homework or not. When you respect your child ‘s teachers and concern about the lesson, your children will be more responsible.
3. Choose the best time to do homework.
The best time to do homework can be after dinner, playing, or watching TV. Don’t do homework when your children are playing or are tired.
4. Help your children with materials they need.
You can help your children supply materials they need. Search for the resources on the internet. Take your children to bookstores or public libraries. Collect some old magazines or newspapers if necessary.
5. Eliminate the learning circumstances from distraction.
Turn off the TV and video games. Tell your children that they can play or watch TV after their finished the homework. I don’t think you should do homework at your children favorite TV show. Find a time when your children are free from their favorite TV programs.
6. If necessary, you can hire a private tutor.
This is also a choice. You can hire a personal assistant to help your children. You don’t have to monitor at every time but you just make consultation with the private tutor. This tip is only if you are too busy with your work.
Homework can teach your children responsibility. When you can help your children with their homework, your children feel that they are not alone. You can be a special person to your children.
