When we were children, we enjoyed playing. Our children like playing to today. They want to spend all their time with they toys. The problem is how to choose the best toys and best educational online games  for our children. Some toys are not safe but the others have good benefit to mental and physical development. As parents we should realize how important playing toys for our children. Do you have a girl? What is the best toy for her? Here are some tips for moms and dads to choose the best toys for their girls and boys.

1. How old is your child? 

This is the first question before your buy a toy. You should know appropriate toys for a three years old girl. You should read a recommendation from friends or physiologists who know best about toys for children. You can look for the reference online or in parenting magazines.

2. Is your child a boy or a girl? 

 


Giving boyish toys to your little girl is not good for the mental development. Your girl tends to abandon her feminism when she plays with toy guns or swords.

3. Your children usually want toys that their friends’ have.


Have you been to a toy store with your children? Ask them what toys they want. They will say “ a toy that ( Jane’s) have.)When your daughter sees her friends playing with a Barbie doll, she wants the same toys as her friends have.

4. Are the toys safe or not.


Under three year old children are not safe to play with Lego because parts of the Lego are choking hazard. Safe toys are very crucial when you decide to give your children toys as a present. Remember that you will not always keep an eye on your children. When you leave your children with unsafe toys, you leave them on the bank of a river.

5. Do all the toys have educational benefit? 

 


You should find toys that have learning benefit. The toys help your children develop new ability. Some toy manufacturers have created educational toy sets. You can read the review of the products. You should have product knowledge before your buy a toy so you know how to teach your children to use and to play the toy.

6. Find toys that promote discovery and problem solving.


Let your children have opportunity to discover new things from toys. Toys that encourage discovery and trial-error activity build your children confidence and curiosity in positive manner. Puzzles, clay, paint and blocks are great examples.

7. Find toys that encourage social interaction. 

 


Children not only play with their toys but they also engage in social activities with their peers. Water play and sand play sets are great. Children will get much benefit when they play with their friends. They will share, receive, and comment to activities with their toy sets.

8. Seek toys that build your children’s skill to read, write, and draw.


You can choose these toys. Crayons, markers, alphabet letters, and books are great sources of learning toys. Children’s magazines can be toys. You do not have to be worry when your children tear of the magazines. Your children may be exploring new experience by doing this.
