safe videos site for your children

This site was inspired a little girl who was hospitalized. Elmo was taken care in hospital. During her stay, she needed an entertainment but there are many inappropriate videos on the monitor. Finally, her parent was inspired to run kideos.com. Under the control of EarlierMedia.com, kideos become one of most
recommended and safest site for children to spent time with.

Before the videos were released, they should pass advisory council. The council is made up of educators , and parents. One of the kideos goal is to find online videos that are thoroughly entertaining for kids and completely worry-free for parents. All videos are free. However, to get more access the collection you should register as a member of the site. To earn and finance the site the management asks for small donation to it’s members

best english drama script website for free for ESL teachers and students

Learning English through drama is very effective. You can teach your students not only how to speak but also how to express their feeling. Acting and speaking unites in one scene. The result is that your students are exposed in language target intensely.

When you search on the internet to find a drama script for free, you will find many sites that give free resources. In fact, most of them don’t really give free scripts. Some of them only give a part of the scene and the other scenes are bundled a package that you should buy. It is not convenient to have this offer. There is a great site that you can find many resources of drama script for free. That is kidsinco.com. That site gives free drama scripts. There are hundreds collections from one character to multiple characters. I used few of the script to be practice in my classroom. However, I modified some the conversation. Instead of creating my own script, I will got crazy to get inspired. I just copy from kidsinco.com and change the conversation a little that suits to my students characters and theme.

When your students not listening to your lecture

Being a teacher is one of difficult professions. Teaching is not only delivering a lesson but also making your students feel comfortable with you.   When you lecture can not be understood, and heard, you don’t teach your students. There is no teaching at all.

Do your students interact with the material actively of just follow you instruction? A successful teacher will bring students into the real interaction to the lesson.

How to take your students’ attention. It is very important that you should change your teaching style, approach, and methods. The way you speak should make your students feel vigorous and curious. Diction and intonation is very important. Your voice will tell your feeling so don’t talk to your students with anger and high tense. Even you don’t bully your students, their subconscious mind will  detect your inner voice.

Designing classroom and preparing a lesson plan are very important before you enter a class. You should be ready a powerful trap  to attract your students attention at the first minutes before you delivering the lesson. Icebreaker games can be beneficial to make your students stunned. Finally, they will be take out their books deliberately and ready to receive your lecture.

does a teacher have a day off?

"Those teachers just want a day off!"

She didn't know that I was a teacher. She laughed it off when my husband and I told her. "Well, I guess I better
watch what I say about teachers then, huh?"

Too late.

My hubby and I found ourselves in the emergency room before school closings were announced. (He's good now). The nurse did not know whether schools were closed. The above was her response after I informed her that her son's school was closed.http://oldschoolteach.com/2014/02/those-teachers-just-want-day-off-are.html#.UvGM3vldUrU

Engaging Students with Stories #EngChat #EdChat

For those who have spent any time with me, they know I have a story to
tell. No matter the situation, I've got a weird, funny, interesting (to
me), and crazy story to share. As I sit back and reflect on my lessons
and units, I always try to find the piece that made the students
engaged. Often, it's a silly story from my life or the lives of students
that rope students in.

I'm going to be starting our Gothic Unit in a couple of weeks and I love
to tell a good ghost story. Students love a good ghost story and they
are perfect to get kids hooked on this type of unit. I share some scary
stories from my personal experience and others I've heard over the years
and the class discusses how these stories share similar elements with
the ones we have read from Poe. I could have just written the Gothic
Story elements on the board, directed students to examples in the
stories we have read or are about to read and test them on these items
later in the unit. That is just awful.

student activity Problem-Solving

It has
been an interesting day in at school setting up the classroom. With all
of the greatest intentions and plans in the world, all I really
achieved was a wonderful problem-solving adventure with my Activ-Board!

I
have always been a rather big lateral thinker and tend to thoroughly
enjoy riddles, problems, word puzzles, crosswords, Sudoku, jokes (which I
like to solve rather than listen to!) and so on. Therefore, a
non-functioning Activ-Board was the puzzler for the day and a puzzle
that was not going to beat me for long.

Problem
1: the entire physical set-up for the board had to be put back together
again. I managed to find 7 cords, plugs, cables and adaptors that had
absolutely nothing to do with the board so that certainly de-cluttered
things immediately. It was not too difficult to get the bits that really
mattered plugged in and live but somehow that only led to...
